ENC Building Project

Then and Now

In 2009, Eagles Nest Baptist Church began serving the Breezy Point area in Central Minnesota. A decade later, Pastor Zach Broom assumed the pastorate in 2019. Since then, God has faithfully grown and matured our local body of believers through expository preaching, teaching, counseling, and ministry service to our community.

Today, the current building's size constrains our ministry opportunities and limits church growth. Of course, God isn't limited the same way we are, but He includes us in spreading the gospel for the sake of His glory and our good. God has grown this church beyond what our building can hold, and now He's giving us the chance to build for what's ahead.

Room to Grow

What has served as a cozy church building in "cabin country" now often overflows in a region that has experienced steady growth in recent years.

We need more space for many reasons, primarily:

  • Worship space: Integrated family worship in the auditorium often feels crowded, making it awkward for visitors, large families, and those who require extra time to find a seat.

  • Children's Sunday school: Classes are held in the lobby and nursery. The high-traffic lobby is a suboptimal environment for learning. The nursery is unavailable for infants and toddlers during class.

  • Prayer and counseling: We'd like dedicated room to expand these ministries.

  • Fellowship time: There's no dedicated space for meals, gatherings, or events. The auditorium doubles as our fellowship hall, which means constant rearranging and added wear on the facility and equipment.

  • Kitchen and restrooms: Neither accommodates current use and needs.

  • Storage: We use sheds, classroom space, and the pastor's office.

Breaking Ground

To date, we've raised just shy of half of the $1 million needed to begin construction. Conceptual plans take advantage of the existing five-acre lot and incorporate the current building into a new structure that seats upwards of 300 people, with dedicated space for classrooms, a nursery, fellowship, storage, and day-to-day activities.

The Ask

As we continue to raise funds through pledges, special offerings, fundraising, and regular giving, our primary ask is your prayer for wisdom, provision, and faithfulness as we move forward. We also ask that, if the Lord leads, you would consider a financial gift to help us build wisely and minimize the debt we take on.
